RYUSEN112 needs your help!

We are a queer vegan cafe and event space in Tokyo. We offer a unique place for meeting and connecting people to pursue individual and communal projects.

In addition to our regular cafe hours, we host a series of events including a bi-monthly community dinner to connect the local and queer communities, and screenings like Visual AIDS’ Day With(out) Art with normalscreen and our friend’s documentary Proof of Family about an Ethiopian refugee living in Japan.

We are also connecting with regional organic farmers to host a farmer’s market that will provide high quality produce to our local community.

Unfortunately, due to the State of Emergency, we had to close our space to help curb the spread of the coronavirus.

As a volunteer-run collective project, we are now scrambling to find ways to stay afloat. To that end, we ask for your help. We offer gift cards to help us cover the cost of rent and utilities until the coast is clear.

You are also welcome to donate directly via PayPal to helpryusen112@protonmail.com.

Buying a gift card for our space would help us tremendously during these uncertain times. They will be valid as long as we can keep going!

Once reopened, we will resume our event programming to highlight social issues.

We cannot thank you all enough for supporting us, especially now. We know this is a hard time for everyone. We want everyone to stay healthy. We look forward to seeing you back at the cafe soon!
